Grrrrrrr...

This is just a quick post to just comment on something that is bugging the hell out of me.

The recent terrorist plot would cause death "on an unimaginable scale".

Firstly - how can it be unimaginable, someone had to think up the idea

Secondly - huh!!

*Throws a history book at the media and such like*

Each time they say that, it seems to me as though they are undermining tragedies from the not so distant past. To name but a few, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, and a little event called the Holocaust...
How insulting is it to the victims, their families and the countries and societies to which they belonged? To see such travesties that laid impact on so many people just brushed away, as though they don't matter, as though they are old news and therefore not important. It is like opening old wounds and rubbing salt in them.

But hey, lets pour vinegar on that as well! Lets keep repeating it over and over.

I don't mean to undermine those involved with the discovery, surveillance and apprehension they did a fantastic job, so why not praise them for their hard work which appears to have so far been successful.

They prevented a potentially devastating event.

Not an unimaginable one.
